The Lahore Arts Council (LAC) organised a Chitral and Kalash cultural show on Friday. Regional music, dance and a lot more were presented during the cultural show. Chitrali folk singer Shujaul Haq along with his team sang popular regional songs and received a round of applause from the audience. On the occasion, the LAC executive director said the people of Chitral and Kalash were had very high values. These people are not only skilful but very creative as well and the culture of Chitral is full of arts, crafts, traditional customs, food, music, dance and folksongs. “I am glad to witness all this on the platform of Alhamra Art Centre,” he said, adding that LAC was committed to promoting the arts and culture of the entire country because culture brings people closer to each other. He said the platform of LAC is available to everyone to present their talent in fine arts, music or other forms of art.
